Confederate Forked Tongue Waist Belt

Our Confederate Issue Forked Tongue Belt is an exact duplicate made by our Master Leathersmith here in Gettysburg, PA. The belt is made of 5/6 oz. Herman Oak leather and features a forked tongue buckle handmade by Parsley’s Brass, the finest brass caster in the world. This military issue belt is available in widths of 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" and available in rough-out or bridle. Belts are capable of supporting heavy gear such as a bayonet scabbard, cap pouch, and cartridge box. Entirely handmade and hand sewn this unique reproduction is a perfect addition to any Confederate impression, eastern or western theater.

***Please ensure that you use the measurement at your belly button, and not the size of modern trousers, as the belt is made to sit at your midsection.

I love this belt so far. Wore my revolver and sword on it. Didn't feel like it was pulling down my pants at all. Love the look and feel of it. Highly recommended. Couldn't be happier.

The forked tongue belt is of extremely high quality leather.  I got mine in the oiled finish and it is very supple with a pleasant "broken in" color.  The buckle is exactly like the one pictured on an original belt and those you see at relic shows and museums.  I could not be more pleased with the value for my money.  There may be other such belts being sold, but I doubt there are any of a better quality or a better "look".  Due to an error on my part I initially ordered the wrong size (I haven't been that thin since the eighth grade!).  In the true Regimental Quartermaster tradition of good service to their customers a prompt exchange was made and, thankfully, I didn't have to go on Marie Osmond's diet and declare, "Hi, I'm Dave and I lost forty pounds".
