Spurs-Officer Horse Head (One Pair) As per 1861 U.S. Army Uniform Regulations, "1500 - For all Mounted Officers-yellow metal, or gilt spurs" were to be worn. Some spurs were privately purchased and could be very plain or ornate with different animal figures such as eagles and horses. These are a great addition to either an officer or cavalry trooper impression which will make you stand out from the standard spur your pards have. Original pre-Civil War manufactured Officer Spurs belonging to Captain William W. Beckwith, 80th New York Regiment.
