Southerner Derringer, Iron Frame, by Brown Mfg Co.
The Southerner Derringer was a neat little turn-barrel .41cal pistol with its name, emblazoned on the barrel, intended to appeal to buyers south of the Mason-Dixon Line. It was manufactured in Newburyport, Mass., by Merrimack Arms and Brown Mfg. Co.
Some 6,500 were made between 1867 and 1869.
