M1855/M1861 Two-Rivet Springfield Bayonet Scabbard
Two rivet leather Springfield Bayonet Scabbard with brass tip made here in Gettysburg PA. This type of scabbard was common throughout the entire span of the war, and is known as an early type manufactured from 1859 (when two rivets were added to the frogg for strength) until early-1863.
