Confederate 1st. National Flag - 7 Star

Confederate 1st. National Flag. This flag was also known as the Stars and Bars. It was first raised over the capital building in Montgomery, March 4, 1861.It had seven stars representing the states belonging to the Confederacy at that time.

Confederate 1st. National Flag - 11 Star

This was an intermediate version of the First National flag before the two final states joined the Confederacy.

Confederate 1st. National Flag - 13 Star

This was the final version of the First National flag after the last states had joined the Confederacy. It was replaced because of the confusion caused by its similarity to the Stars and Stripes.

Confederate 2nd. National Flag

This flag was also known as Stainless because of the white background which represented the purity of the Cause. One of the first official uses of this flag was to drape the coffin of General Stonewall Jackson as his body lay in state in the Confederate House of Representatives. The 2nd National flag was adopted in 1863

Confederate 3rd. National Flag

This flag was also known as the Last National flag. It was adopted in 1865 because the white background of the 2nd National flag could be mistaken as a flag of surrender. This flag flew for 36 days in 1865 until the surrender on April 9th.

C. S. A. Naval Jack Battle Flag

This was the flag of the Confederate Navy. It was rectangular instead of square and does not have the white outside border. It was used by some land units as well as the Navy.

C. S. A. Bonnie Blue Flag

This flag was raised over the capitol building in Jackson Mississippi on January 9, 1861 when the convention of the People of Mississippi adopted an Ordinance of Secession. The Lone Star flag was used in some form by five of the Southern States that adopted new flags in 1861.

Also known as the Southern Cross. This design was adopted as the battle flag to help eliminate confusion on the battlefield caused by the similarity of the Stars and Bars and the Stars and Stripes. This pattern came to represent the Southern Cause to most people. Various sizes and types available.

52" x 52" is normally Infantry.
