1863 Springfield Rifle Musket: Type II

This Type II model was the last US Martial regulation muzzle loading arm. The type II model 1863 Springfield rifled musket is the same as the type I except the barrel & lockplate has an 1864 stamp. The rear sight is adjustable with 1 folding leaf. The barrel bands are solid spring held.
