1861 Springfield Rifle Musket: 3 Band Rifle by EuroArms

The model 1861 Springfield rifled musket was the principal firearm of the Civil War. By the end of 1863 most Federal infantrymen were armed with either this musket or the Enfield. A handsome, durable and accurate rifle, the model 1861 was the most widely produced American military long arm of that time. Over 1,500,000 1861 pattern rifle muskets were produced by the Springfield National Armory and 30 other contractors. This rifle features one piece of oil finished American walnut stock, 40 inch round tapered barrel in .58 caliber rifled bore, with all metal parts finished bright. The lock plate is markedwith an eagle, the date 1861 and "U.S. Springfield." All as per original. It is manufacturd by EuroArms of America (Italian manufacturer). This is one of the finest '61 Springfields available with attention to detail and fine workmanship. NSSA approved.
